I think we understand it. I mean he beat the leader by 12 seconds and never slowed down. It was impressive but the announcer stole the spotlight. The announcer is the only reason this video is a thing outside of the biking community.

I'm sure I couldn't do any better than that but besides the jumps did anyone else see that course as relatively easy? I don't bike at all so I'm not comparing this course to any other.

clearly not if you think that course looked easy

i mean, sure i have seen more technical stuff, but that was really tight and incredibly muddy. and he just fucking flew through it.

Champery is the steepest most technical course ever raced in professional DH. To do it in that kind of weather is the reason those announcers are freaking out. That was literally the greatest run in the history of the sport. Trust me no person in the world save for a guy named Sam Hill would have been close to that time.



This is the course from 07 i believe, in the dry. He did it with mud up to his axles.

i was totally thinking the same. guess its different once you are in the zone. its like the same thing for us with trails or backcountry.. except they are surrounded by mud and sharp rocks.
