Well leonardo dicaprio's character and tom hanks' character always talk or meet up on christmas maybe its a subliminal type of thing. Christmas plays a large part in that movie. Like he gets captured in france on christmas, escapes the cops and runs to his moms house christmas eve, talks on the phone to tom hanks on christmas.
