a friend of mine rides a penny mini cruiser, virtually identical to this one and it's fun as hell!
+ it fits in a backpack and is so easy to manual

i don't give a fuck wether or not it's a hipster thing, it's damn fun to ride and is in many ways a lot more convenient than a longboard or skateboard :)
