I think it almost sounds like a light turning on and off. There was a light right near it that you have to pull a cord down to turn on and off. Almost sounds like the click each time it is pulled. And at the end it sounds like someone is saying "hi". I swear to god that wasn't me or my brother, who was downstairs.

Ok, I have a story if Granite will allow me. This is a true story but it isn't a ghost story. So, in the middle of the night around three years ago I got up to take a piss. I'm still half asleep so I'm barely conscious and I walk out my room into the hallway, which is like 6 feet wide by 9 feet long more like a landing with 4 doors all in pretty much a square, and on my way to the bathroom I see this silhouette of a man like 2 feet away from me but I'm barely awake so I think I'm still dreaming. The guy is just standing there, I walk past him finish pissing. he's still there but I think it's a dream so I go back to bed. The next morning I wake up first to go to school and there are muddy footprints right where the guy was standing and all the way down to the back sliding door which is sitting open an inch. I realize it wasn't a dream and there was some intruder just standing there staring at me when I got up in the middle of the night. The funny thing is is that nothing was stolen or anything, he just walked in came upstairs and just stood there.
I live around the seacoast. And yeah, the hi is a stretch but I swear to god I did not make that noise. Just thought it was interesting. Gonna keep recording shit, hopefully I get something.
That said, I have another sound clip. Before you listen read this though. I had to amplify it quite a bit because the sound took place far away from my mic. There will be a part before and after were it sounds like I splced in some footage. Its not, I further amplified the sound and applied noise reduction but the recording is still continuos. What you should hear is a thump.
After I asked whether this thing grabbed my dads foot or not there was a brief silence and then this thump. The thump came from the floor. You may be thinking " Oh well its just your house". Could be but I lived in this house for a while and the floors never creak, because they have carpet on them...and its 60 degrees out...The only time my floors make a noise is when they are stepped on. That's it, trust me. You can hear me react to the noise right after it happens.
Yeah. I had already picked the recorder (my iphone) off the bed and was just holding it. I wasn't even moving, just standing there. Feel free to brainstorm what you think it could have been but right now I have no clue.
hmm i was thinking it might have been your hand brushing the mic or something, but the more i listen, the less it sounds like it. i think you've got to get a camera in there dude, find out if the light was going on and off.
But in all honesty, the sound recordings are sketch. I'm thinking you're legit because you worked hard to post the clips....we shall see if they yield more.
shit. I keep hearing banging on my front porch and noises, I am upstairs right now and the only person who is home is my dad and he is watching tv upstairs, gonna go check this shit out, will report back in a few minutes...
My house is 150-200 years old and at least one person that I know of has died in it, I know I'm just sketching myself out but I feel like it should be haunted. I have one bathroom light that turns on and off but it seems to just be a circuit problem of some kind. However when I was home alone a week or two ago I heard a muffled scream from the upstairs of my house and got the fuck out fast.
You are lucky as fuck. speaking of luck, i once blacked out and woke up the next morning with my front door wide fucking open with my computer and wallet on the kitchen table right in front of the open door. luckiest moment of my life

worst part is when I went in to get the recorder I failed to notice his bathroom door was closed until I listened to this. It was opened when I put the recorder in...
no clue. honestly. Only person who it could be would be my brother. but he has been gaming hard in my dads office (other end of the house) all night. he is sleeping but Ill ask him in the morning. Im more freaked out about the groan then the door slamming. fuck this shit.
My mom was gone dude, so unless you mistook my dog for my mom than I don't know what the fuck you were doing, next time wake me up and we'll go jib my PVC rails.
