yea this is true, i think alot of people, christian and non christian have misconceptions about being christians, it is not about an institution or rules or anything like that, all it is about is talking to God and knowing him, Church is good, but i think that more important than that is praying and reading the Bible. About the money thing, I dont think that 10% is a fixed mark or anything, you just give what you can, but tithing is just something you will do if you wanna help out the church or missionaries. IN the end if you have a relationship with God that is all i think matters, try reading some of the bible, read john or romans or something, so you can atleast get an idea of what it is about. Some people at church are snobbs or hypocrites or whatever, but that isnt what it is like to be christian, so dont let their examples turn you off.
