Is holiday valley open? the website says no but ski the east says yes? can anyone from the area confirm? because im gonna make a trip up for the weekend next weekend if they are

Yea, it is definitely still closed. I am hoping that they can somehow get enough snow pumped by next weekend.

No, they are not open, They started snowmaking tonight, and will continue on as weather permits, they also got a whole new snowmaking system, that should allow them to make much more snow and be extremely efficient. check out the video they put up today... http://vimeo.com/33057295

What? Do you mean this coming weekend  (December 10-11) or next week? I'm not seeing anything about this coming weekend on their site.

the plan is to blow snow all weekend, and open up yodler and mardi gras on tuesday... hopefully we can get some natural snow to assure this will happen...

never understand why they do not just throw up a few rails or something on the first day. Are there any plans to do anything like this?

Usually has a lot to do with on hill "traffic" and not having a lot of room to place rails, there are some rumors floating, and I can assure you they plan on having features up as soon as possible
