Blue Mtn hidden trails (oh yes)

Some of you may already know about these so lay off the hate. So last season I discovered that the Mtn bike trails make excellent ski trails! They really do allow you to access a lot more of the mountain and experience some awesome places.

you won't be able to find much better than this picture of where the trails start and end. One of my favorite bike trails starts on the 5th turn of switch back you will be able to ski right up to the bike trail. To get to another one of my favorites you can enter in on the right side of tuts lane and continue going down the mountain, you will eventually pass through the Glade next to lazy mile but keep going down the mountain ignoring the end of the glade section and you should end up coming out where the C box on sidewinder is. There are also a bunch more just use the picture to find them!

The one off of Burma has a small rhythm section that's pretty fun to hit, but the rocks are definitely a bitch.

the switchback usually has no rocks and it is just an awesome ride because you are so fucking high up

after riding the downhill trials I dont think id ever ski them unless there was a solid amount of snow. the rocks were everywhere.

on some of the bike trails are rocks but honestly if you get a decent amount of snow they pretty legit

Blue was pushing for the 9th, but they moved their estimated date to the 16th because of the weather we've been having. Dropped some forms off today and the mountain's still bare.

Hahaha good work beans. 6" all mountain bike was perfect up there. Some of the rock gardens were definitely gnarly.

Off paridise, just above where dreamweaver cuts back in dip off the little access road on the right. theres a drop, just do it with speed and smile large as you follow the burms and jumps.

do you mean the park for the bikers during the summer? I remember the bus being in there when I went there during the winter and with just a little more speed you could probably gap it on skis

just try some of the ones on the picture of the map of bike trails I posted up there (starting with the switchback one) some of them are a good 2-3 minutes long

trust me i have... two seasons ago when it actually snowed in pa there was a solid three to four days of touching an actual trail just at the top and bottom of the mt.

it was one of the trademarks of sidewinder! If you were to ask someone what was the coolest feature on sidewinder they ain't gonna say that fucking c-bow, nah they gonna say it was the bus ....or swing set

your definition of 'coolest' is skewed a little differently than most everyone i've talked to who rides blue regularly. it could have been fun off to the side of the trail so it could be used more creatively, and was at least somewhat burly when it had a rail on top instead of the stupid wide box, but when it was next to/built into the last jump on sidewinder, it was nothing more than a hazard and a tourist trap.

If my memory serves me correct it wasn't a hazard at all; however, it was a tourist trap. The bus doe not have to be next to the jumps though, just put it where the cbow was last year and it would be perfect

ive hit the c-bow a total of, let me think, zero times. I dont like that thing either. creativity with snow and features and how much fun a park is to ride should define a park. not a sped sled...

In my opinion, and I've had a pass at blue for the past 4-5 years, the bus and the swingset were two of the worst features blue has ever had in the park. The bus took up too much space and wasn't really that cool/challenging... who cant ride a butter box? And that swingset was a death trap, might have well just dropped people from 10ft up straight onto the ice when they fell off.

And yes I dislike the C too but those two features were terrible. Blue took a big step in the right direction last year with its parks. Sidewinder had a really nice setup/flow to it and it would be a shame to bring either of those features back and really regress the steps blue has taken to improve the parks.

Couldn't have said it any better. But i do wish i could hit the swing set just one time. When it was up I was to bad of a skier to even think about hitting it.

See I disagree, I Sidewinder already has plenty of standard features, the bus was just kind of a unique fun thing to do whether was challenging or not it was just fun to have it on the trail. It's not like it took up a lot of space anyways it was just fun to have

the bus pretty severely limited what could be done setup-wise for the last hit before the wallride. 3rd jump was much better last season without it, with far fewer people sitting on the landing.

the 3rd jump was a start in the right direction, but I could only hit it during the nights because it was just too slow during the days so I would always eat the knuckles. Just gonna reiterate this, the bus does not have to be in the jump section.

Go fast and use your landings. Crossing my fingers that some slight changes made to sidewinder and the way the jumps are placed will make it even better. IMO 2 into 3 was nice for 80% of the season. Yes somedays 3 was unhittable but i found it to be because of wind, not snow conditions.

That would be perfect i'm sure for people like you, me and alot of others. But since blue only has 1 legit jump line people would be killing themselves trying to hit them. Ive seen enough people bust there ass on the first jump just straight airing it to know that if the general person riding down the park hit a jump that size would not be good.

IIIII think blue should turn paradise into a park. We could have multiple jump lines on that and it would be AMAZING
