STH 12's reliable enough for a pow ski?

I have some sth 12's from a couple years ago, looking to get powder skis now and not sure if these would handle it cranked down. Reviews get ++K thanks!

Well, once again I would say it depends.

If you are a big guy who can charge, that DIN may not be high enough. Now, Im not saying that because you will max the DIN, but because you need to be in the middle of your DIN range to maximize the life of the binding and the consistency of the release system.
As far as the bindings go, they seem to be decently durable. They are by no means the most bombproof out there (IMO) but they will get the job done.

Depends on your skiing, they will not be most durable binding out there, but if they are the right ones for you, you better get those. Tell us your wheight and you skiing style, how big you go and something, then we would know if they are the right binding for you.

Driver? Or normal toe. It depends on how hard you'll be skiing, and how much you weigh

im about 155 lbs. and i ski pretty fast all the time and look for as many gaps drops jumps etc.. as i can find when theres some new snow, i like to go pretty big and charge fast steep lines, drop cliffs in the 30-40ft range sometimes bigger
the toe piece is just a normal toe piece for the sth12's i think

Personally,I'd go STH14 driver or STH 16,

16's are gnarly strong and you need a high din for them but 100 percent agree with the 14

The 16's start at 9. If you're hucking 30 footers, I'd assume he's at 9. I ride mine at 10.5, and I've been using my one pair since they came out 5 seasons ago

I've had problems with sth 12. im planning on upgrading to the 16's for the driver toe. i weigh about the same as you and huck drops about the same hight. buuuttt i also use them on my park skiis which get thrashed on rails. i would say go for the 14's at least for the peice of mind the driver toe brings. its a small increase in cost considering the risk that you might be buying the 14's anyway if you break the 12's
