right now narrowed it down to a 2008 toyota 4runner, or a 2011 jeep grand cherokee v6 laredo. Both comparably priced and have similar miles. What the haters out there think about which one to go with. Hard choice, toyota reliability or new jeep design ( looks real nice) and much newer. I dont pay for reparis and what not but is the 4runner that much better a vehicle?
I have an 04 grand cherokee and I'd get another once im done with this. never driven a 4runner, but the jeep slays in everything other than gas mileage (avg 15mpg)
That toyota is literally insane. The fact it still runs blows my mind. Im going to test drive both cars and see whatsup but toyota is looking real good right now. Jeep still looks sexy as hell and i know will run for a while without real problems
GO WITH THE JEEP! Much nicer car. My mom has owned several cherokee's and has loved them all. And jeeps just got rated one of the highest quality cars on the road today by consumer reports.
Its really a toss up. Test drive them both and see which you like better
4runner for sure. they do not bread down. ever. as long as you take care of it of course. Literally the only thing you have to worry about on tacomas or 4runners is rust. i still see mid 90's hitting 350,000 miles+
That is a lot of driving. My late 90s yota truck is at 160,000, never had a problem with it. I've owned 5 yotas over about 10 years and have been stranded broken down only once and that was due to an alternator. My first yota was an 88 truck, my buddy still romps it in maine and I think it's got around 360,000 right now. They never die.(unless the frame rusts out from under it, but that was Murica's fault anyway)
