Hey I just wanted to know if you guys have any recommandations for a good park ski (that is supposed to be used center mounted). I'm searching for a ski that's really made for the park but doens't suck too bad on all mountain.
stiffer park skis:
4frnt Switchblade - pretty stiff park ski, great for all mountain and great for hitting big jumps, still playful on the smaller jibs
Armada THall - These skis are pretty soft i know, but underfoot they are really beefed up to help the ski feel a bit more aggressive through turns
softer park skis:
Line Afterbang- Line is always known for its park specific skis. No exception here
Atomic Punx- These skis have been getting a lot of hype as well. A softer flex, really light park ski with sidewall construction rather than cap helping it maintain its camber and pop.
other:
Armada Halo - heard great things about these. a bit of rocker and early taper give these skis a great swingweight and a very forgiving feel.
clearly there are lots of other skis. these are just some of the more popular skis for this season to check out
Personally, I'm loving my line anthems, although, they're a little wide for my liking. If I had to choose a ski right now, I would go with the Line afterbangs or masterminds. They're great in park and somewhat durable to my standards.
Love my K2 Domains. Super fun and durable in the park (3.5mm edges as opposed to 2.5), and the subtle tip and tail rocker makes them awesome all around the mountain. Hold edge really well at speed, you just want to rip carves.
atomic punx: light, playfull
armada thall/ ar7: light, lots of pop on jumps. good edge hold.
armada alpha/halo: extermely light. quick turns. awesome jib ski
salomon suspect: dope jump ski, recommended for a bigger skier.
salomon 2012: good rockered jib ski.
k2 recoilt: stompy, buttery park ski.
