Hyper-extended my knee on thanksgiving playing football. I heard it pop although I was able to keep playing on it. It feels better now just a little tight but I havnt started skiing on yet. This weekend should be the first time out for the season. I have been wearing a brace and it seems to help. Just wondering of anyone else has had any experience with knee injuries like this that they would like to share.
keep it mello but when u are at home and relaxing take the brace off it will help strenthen the knee. same thing with me when i dislocated the knee cap
I would be careful. The first time I tore my ACL I heard a pop and I managed to ski to the bottom of the hill. I went to the doctor and she just thought I sprained my knee and gave me a brace and then I blew my knee later when I was playing volleyball. I had to go to an orthopedic surgeon afterwards and he said I originally tore my ACL and it caused me to really fuck up my knee when I landed on it while playing volleyball... Moral of the story is go and get it checked out before skiing on it. Not worth surgery and 6 months of rehab.
