Today I was being taught how to fit someone for a boot at my new job working at my local shop. I put on some full tilt classics and they told me that my toes should barely touch the front of the liner when standing, and be very close, but not touch when in stance. I put on some 28.5's (my current boot size) and they touched the front of a liner with a bit of pressure, and touched lightly when I was in stance. I tried on the booters in 28.5 also, but my toes touched the liner as a properly fitting boot should, but I had more pressure points and it just didnt fit as well as the classics. We didnt have any 29's in the classics so I couldnt try those on. Do you think that if I ordered some 29's off of the internet that they would fit fine? The boot wasnt putting an incredible amount of pressure on my toes, but enough to the point I would feel like I might get some toe bang on hard landings.
Im not a bootfitter, but I think that the sizing chart should be used for a reference to get around the right size and then go up or down depending on the feel. Try the boots on before buying them.
My FTs are 27.5. When I stand up straight, my toes are pressed against the liners. There's like 1 mm of room when I'm in stance. I tried some Dalbello Krypton Pros out of interest and the correct size for me was 26.0. I was really surprised because of the size difference.
My 28.5 fts are 318 bsl while my 27.5 spks were 317, however my FTs are alot roomier in the toe box, but tighter around the outside of the foot and calf giving me better response. Love my konflicts!
yeah i had the same problem. In my old tecnicas i ran a 28.0 and really didn't touch the toe. But full tilt drop kicks I tried the 28.0 and my toe was pretty crammed I had to get bumped to a 29.0 And its perfect now toe swipes while standing, and barely touches when in stance. Got them heat molded and they are so sick.
