Mule kicks arent nollies

for the record, a nollie is performed by popping off the nose of the skis. not jumping and mule kicking. 1.if your performing a nollie on to an urban rail, the last thing to leave the sno is the tip of the skis.

2.if your going to nollie off a rail/box it would have to be from the 5050 position.

3.mule kicks arent nollies.

you may return to your regular schedule of nothing :)

you cant nollie out of a regular skier slide if you're centered on the rail. A nollie uses your noses to pop, if they're hangin off the side of a rail you obviously cant put pressure on them and nollie

Haha this thread is hilarious but I do agree with the OP that a lot of people just jump and then drag their noses down and call it a nollie if you're going to nollie from the ground you should be popping off your noses.

All of these replies made my day! And this thread is in response of a recent front page video that I thought was sick, but I disagreed with a little bit. I personally use the term pop, like tail pop rather than tail ollie...but I wouldnt claim it to begin with. Im not god, hornbeck writes the book on freestyle, and lets habe some fun. Night kiddies.

although i wanted owens to win, i couldnt help but feel like stpet wanted him to win too. they gave him almost everything, from his "nollies" to his "270s" on boxes. every single one he ended up ski slideing and then 180d off. he lucked out

I agree, besides where you say you can't nollie out of a sideways slide. That's definitely possible, people rock onto their tips and then pop off them.


And whoever mentioned that re-verting before a rail isn't a butter - thank you. Re-verting before hitting a rail is as dumb as re-verting in between jumps.

bingo. to actually butter (from switch) onto a rail it should be last minute, on the lip up to the rail, and the only part of the ski that should be on the ground is from the heelpiece back pressing the tails. don't turn forward right before the rail and call it buttering. get those tips up.
