Mounting Alpha 1s?

I'll keep it quick--I just picked up a pair of these bad boys and a pair of Look pivots, so I was wondering if anyone has any insight on where to mount. I searched and found that mounting them center may not be the best idea due to the elf shoe tech, but i've never mounted a ski at recommended (-2.5) so i'm a bit hesitant. anyone have personal experience? I ride like 70-80% park out here in the east, and maybe 50% when i go out west. usually i wouldn't ask, but the tip and tail rocker sounds like it may be a bigger deal mounting them closer to center

i mounted mine +1.5 of recommended and they are a joy to be on

yeah that's where i was leaning. They're still solid on the bumps/groomers outside the park?

they pretty much rip everything except freshies. but obviously you wont be pulling these out of the garage when it snows

perfect. Yea i don't expect to be floatin through pow on them, but everything else is fair game. appreciate the advice buddy, anyone else have any experience?

ended up mounting em 1.5 back, and i coudn't be more stoked to try em out. actually measured effective top and tail length (length of ski in front and behind toe and heel piece) and it comes out be be exactly the same, so should be interesting to ski for sure. real excited to have a more playful ski that pivots and butters easier, but i'm sure i'll still be able to get em on edge for those big groomer and off piste carves

I mounted my sons 176 with the new light blue 13 din Griffens on the recomended line boot center. He skis JJ,s also and wont ski them anything but boot center also. So figured being the same type of ski only narrower I would mount them the same. Ill let ya know how he like them after Xmas:]

   He has skitzos on the JJ,s and as a joke to see if he would notice I moved them back 1/2cm because he always said {I would notice!!!} Well first turn he stopped looked at the ski dismounted and seen it wasnt right and said who fuccked with my bindings!! OOOOPS. He really did notice.

  What ever your used to I think is were. These days the factory on lots of skis line is pretty good compared to how it used to be. Armada and Line skis seem to be good going with whats recomended I find.
