Biggest Public Jumps in the World

Which resort has the largest jumps open to public? I really love just straight airing a really huge ass jump, and I haven't met a jump in my life that I wouldn't hit. I want to know who has the largest public jumps in the world so I can plan a trip out there and hopefully not die. The biggest jump I've ever hit was maybe 65-75feet on blackcomb, but i know that there is bigger out there! K+ guys,for some pics/videos!

i think mammoth in the past had a 100 footer open to the public but i'm not positive.

We had a 90ft jump at the end of the season at Cardrona. Pretty sure mammoth had some bigger ones back in the day.

buttermilk usually keeps the jump line from the xgames up. so whatever the biggest jump this year at winter x will be the biggest jump open on buttermilk (this excludes the big air jump)

I'm going to go out and say I really doubt any mountain will ever have anything over 80 publicly open.

People love to overestimate, and I get it but 80 feet is f'n huge.

I've skied Breck for years and never seen anything larger than that.....

Mammoth and Whistler are up there. Mammoth had massive jumps back in the day from what I understand.

i don't know, my home mountain had a 50' table last year that was actually measured, i bet somebody could easily do 30 more. my mountain is tiny, too.

MAMMOTH.

DEF have had 100 open to public. And normally in late spring they push up a biggen you can always take 100+ because the landing is $.

Like everyone is saying, Mammoth. Last year the bottom jump after grand prix was 110 to sweet spot. they usually push about 90 to knuckle for the big jump.

I agree that people over estimate, and even mountains I have worked at overestimate, or use techniques that make them bigger. But here is video of testing that 90 ft public jump i was talking about. I measured it myself with a tape measure from the base of where the lip ends to the knuckle. That being said its not really cost effective to build a jump that big. Only a handful of people ever hit this jump when it was this size. Plus this was in NZ were liability is very different. Its so refreshing to work over there and not have all the bs that you get in the US.

or you could just build something huge in the backcountry and haul ass into it, make sure the landing is long and nice, and send it.

Find out when crews are doing shoots, they usually keep the jumps open to the public for a couple days after before taking them down. Well, that's what I've heard at least. But other than that I'd say Mammoth.

I raced in high school and the state championships used to always be at mammoth. Prime time to see a bunch of hot shot racer douche bags hit jumps out of their league. Saw one of them break several bones. Everyone always said they were 95' to 100' to sweet spot. Not sure, but they are hands down the biggest I've ever seen.

I may be off a bit on the size, but I'm fairly sure that Stevens had a 90 foot jump open towards the end of the year for a bit that I saw people taking real deep.

Alpine Meadows always has a MASSIVE jump, and the landing is like 300 feet long, so you can take it retardedly huge. Jonahs will have to chime in for actual measurements, though...

Not quite sure that there is a 300 foot landing Peter, but I would bet the bottom hit at Alpine in the Spring is 80+ a lot of the time.... it does get big when the speed is there... and it can be taken pretty deep if you have the leg strength

I don't know, it's pretty fucking long. The one on Roo's definitely wasn't, but the one on dancefloor is long enough to straightline for a pretty long time... maybe not a whole 300 feet, but it's damn big.

I read in a mag last season about the mammoth super park said the one massive jump was 100feet to the knuckle and another 40 feet to the sweet spot so thats like 140 feet holy fuckkkkkkk

Mt. Snow has always had fairly large jumps in inferno. I know after the dew tour was there they left the jumps up, which were pretty big

the jumps in the black park at whistler for the WSI last year were pretty fuckin huge but i guess thats not public but it is public cuz anyone can buy a pass leigh powis was trying triples over the one

Haha I remember when I overshot the shit out of this jump. It felt pretty big overshooting the damn thing, but watching the video it doesn't look big AT ALL. By the way I'm NOT in that video.

Definitely not the biggest but last season in whistler when I was up there for a week in February they had a 80 footer or so that you could take farther. That was huge.
