Sorry if this question has already been answered but I searchbarred.
So I'm building a winch (for urban obviously) and my dad, grandpa and I have all been thinking of ideas for a while now as well as doing research online. They both think electric could work just as good or better than a gas powered winch. It would be simpler, lighter and less expensive. I like the sound of this but I'm very hesitant because no one makes home made electric winches and to buy one (buying a winch for me is out of the question) they are like $4000. Any input could help!
