its changed.. you know if they’re dumpin 20 gs into prizes they can at least build a new rail.. think round guy rather than typical flat kink / big box drop or some other rat business
i think they ruined the integrity of the contest this year...every year I get stoked to see the no name kids showing up and slaying out of no where. this year with the new installment of limited spots except for those who are on a team and have a manager that signed them up really disappoints me. I send positive vibes out to killington and hope that everything runs smoothly and the competition, as in the past, has been a killer event, but I truly believe that killington has completely changed the laid back fun competitive environment that all of us who have competed in R2R in the past have experienced.
i really can't see that changing. sure there was a different way to enter this year, but when it comes down to the actual event i'm sure it will still be just as good if not better than years past. i'm sure there will still be plenty of kids you've never heard of come through and get busy on the rail setup. hell, look at the loaded turkey winner. Kid's from the middle of PA and crushed it to grab a last minute spot in R2R.
I could be very wrong but from what I've been told, there's always been a limited number of spots at this comp, it's only that this year in addition to those lottery spots they are also inviting kids that would have killed it but were unable to win spots. sounds like a win win but like i said I could be very wrong
