Why has the same picture been on the homepage for 3 days?

these replies came from questioning when the image was of a snowboarder but from what has been said, its been the same fro 3 days now because its been continually rated up by people. its no longer chosen by mods or owners its fully automated to be the picture of the day.

Hah no actually this is a mistake. We had some mediocre photos come through at teh beginning, so we made the rules that pick it extremely strict. It hasn't gotten one that passes our criteria in the last 3 days.
We'll be adding a second set of less strict logic so that it doesn't do this again.
