in little time that i've been on NS ive noticed that there are a lot of people that chirp eachother on NS... but seriously, why? why do so many people on this site chirp other fellow skiers? isnt skiing supposed to be about fun and just chillin with buddies? and isnt this website supposed to be for skiers looking for support in people like themselves, trying to make new friends, and getting helpful advice? what do you fellow newschoolers think? btw sorry if its a repost :s

i feel ya, it does seem that people tend to be harsh, criticism is necessary but there's constructive criticism and then theres pointless criticism (which isn't helpful and does not solve any problems); but, a lot of the criticism that i see people get is for looking for advice especially because there are a lot of topics that already have several other threads or can be googled -- there's an argument on both sides. But skiing is definitely about fun... and bitches and money

Skiing is all about training, I can't remember the last time I had fun skiing, its all for the comps and the ladies now. Oh yeah, and P.S. I am so much better then you.

and dude, i respect this post. skiing is about having fun doing what you love. since when is it about comps or girls or whatever else you do it for. we all love to ski and it's because it's fun. i agree man, this site should be about people connecting, sharing or helping other skiers out. i too don't understand why people have to hate all the time.

i feel you man. but in my experience, on the mountainn usually people are mad chill and stoked. but i feel like behind a computer it tends to be easier to "chirp" and say shit like "yo fucking pussy take the tampon out of your vagina."
