Info on CU boulder for a highschooler

Im a junior in highschool and looking at places to go to school in the coming years. I've heard all sorts of shit good and bad coming from boulder. So far sounds pretty sick, but i don't know how sure i can be while not personally knowing anyone who goes there. I'm just looking for a solid place where i can ski regularly, learn something, and get my fair share of partying done. If you have any other suggestions as to schools feel free to share. I grew up and currently live in washington but going to school in the rockies sounds like the cats pajamas. thanks

Fun, partying comprises most people's social lives, skiing is good obviously, but, a ski day is usually from about 11-2 ish, if you are skiing with the general student body, and not 'go gettas.' Academics is mediocre, in my experience, poor professors. I would highly advise going to a better school academically, but you will prob have fun in Boulder. The frat guys are quite silly.

I'm a sophomore here. If you like skiing, partying, hot bitches, and good times this is the fucking place to be . not to mention the school is fucking dank. Its mad expensive though. at least for out of state.

Here is all the info you will need. Utah has better mountains and snow plus they are WAY closer. The party scene isn't as lame as you would think because of mormons. Come here

bingo. to all of the younger highschoolers: im a senior in highschool and up til this year i was looking at schools for straight party scene and good skiing for some extra time. honestly academics are what youre paying up to 40k for. dont fuck it up by going to a school strictly for partying.

Not dissing CU, i actually just applied today. but im saying this about all colleges.

Percent mormons is < 20 percent I believe. Plus to respond to the guy below my last post Utah has incredible undergraduate research opportunities and is quickly becoming one of the top research institutes in the nation. Boulder, I will agree, is an excellent school academically but most people will agree that it is better for a graduate degree than for undergraduate work.

wouldnt want to be at any other school. all other schools suck compared to cu in my opinion. and skiing here is what you make of it. im about to sneak in a bc day at berthoud pass tomorrow morning before class. so its not hard to ski a bunch. and the girls are fine as fuck. and #1 party school in the country. so its pretty dank
