I am transferring to University of Minnesota-Duluth spring semester. any of you go there? if so, tell me all about it. parties, skiing, academics, women, dorm-life, etc.. Anything you would like to tell me about the school would be much appreciated.
business school is pretty legit. Liberal Arts arent that hot. Dorms are fun to get to know people. apartments are nice if you already know people. Tons of decent college houses all over the place. night life is pretty decent for a town our size I would say.
i agree with tinga. the business school is sick. the engineering school is pretty sweet too, so i've heard. party life is fun, grandmas is fun if you're 21. girls are gorgeous. duluth weather is sick and spirit is fun, once they have everything dialed in.
The school is great, I'm bummed because I'm transferring this coming Fall 2013 semester but my two years there were great. I was a science major so I would be able to tell you more about that part of the school over the business but if you have any specific questions message me and I'll help you with what ever I can.
dont waste your time going to spirit, right down the road there is a hill called mont du lac, their park is amazing and they have a tow rope and its only like $50 for a season pass
Do you guys still go to UMD? Kind of a stupid question but is there a big ski scene there/ is it hard to find other people to go skiing with? Also how much are the season passes to spirit?
I don't still attend UMD but I'm still in Duluth. The ski community isn't what it used to be but you shouldn't be hard pressed to find someone to ride with.
Duluth is fun, I miss it. You'll find people to ski with. Have a car. All house parties til you're 21 then its Grandma's. Dorms are dorms. Depending on your major there are some really good classes and professors, and some shit ones too.
I'm at the U, but I just renewed my spirit pass and I'll be bringing the party up to UMDrunk and crashing/ skiing with my ski buddies quite frequently over the next few years
