^ how can people say that was sooo awsome, i mean the second crash, that camera guy got mowed down, and those two that hit a tree, how could anyone survive those? plus the one at the very end? i duno maybe i feel/relate to them more than you guys do...

roughly two winters ago in a winter race in oregon two big name pros hit a tree on an ice course doing 110+ in the snow and died on impact.

i was thinking the same thing as skiierman. that red car that wraped itself around the tree, i couldn't imagine the navigator surviving that cause they were going like 80 and the passenger side was practally gone.

Crow that was a clip from a rally three years ago. and believe it or not that was the first rally race I ever saw and it really turned me onto it. They hit the inside edge and flew out over a HUGE cliff and got airlifted out neither died though.

rally is insane. i saw this one where this guy was coming around a sharp bend and there was a big rock on the outside of the turn, and he clipped it with the back wheel, and broke his rim, but left little sections of the spokes intact. so the driver proceeds to drive going like 40mph on the spokes. it was nutz.

rally drivers are probably the most skilled drivers in the world, either that or f1 drivers.

and for you people who say they are dumb, people say the same thing about skiing, why the hell would you want to strap yourself to a stick and go down a hill at 50mph and hit a jump. just think about it, it is their passion just like skiing is yours.

yeah its a toss up between rally and f-1 for me. but I've defiently seen rally drivers finish races on three wheels and with their cars on fire. Theya re their only pit crew its in the rules so the co-pilot is usually a skilled mechanic. I've seen the co-pilot bang a wheel on straight with a seldgehammer and keep goin rallys such a entertaining sport

and believe it or not, those crashes in that video are very uncommon. (well from the races ive watched)
