I learned about this guy in my programming class, he was a total boss, and passed away in october

nothing against steve jobs, he was a legend too and this picture completely undermines that. but you should see what dennis ritchie did for the computer sciences. with all the steve threads lately i figured this was fitting for NSG

yeah i only use C for the course im in but i think C++ is like a more developed version of C that is more user friendly and has more specific functions.

I agree but some of those points are straight bogus.

Without Dennis Ritchie we would:
all read in binary? No, that is stupid and makes no sense.
have no programs? again no, that is absurd.

but ya Dennis Ritchie was a boss.

we wouldn't have NO programs, but they'd be mighty limited.

Anyway, I like seeing some justice done. Jobs was a total thief, I can't fathom how he got away with the whole show. Pretty amazing (though karma kills... clearly)
