How do you hold your grips?

This thread has had to have been made before but i searched and nothing but, when using poles how do you hold the grips?

A. No straps
B. Hand through strap and strap on top
C. Hand through strap and hand over strap
D. None of the above (describe)

nice i think i can be a teacher and make tests nice and easy like a slide of cake baked steezey

im all about the C, because the strap supports my laziness to stand up and i wont brake my wrist apparently

C is the correct way to hold them. Safer for your thumbs or something. I however set my poles down about a year ago and haven't looked back since.

A, B, and when I'm in lift lines/skating, I don't use straps but have my palms on the top of the grip.

Tried C a little bit. Felt super awkward. I like to put my palms on top of my poles and do that. Even if my poles are the "correct" length.

When I had straps, I would go through the top of my straps. Now that I put bike grips on, yeah you get the picture.

C. It allows me to push down on the pole without being on top, when standing in line. And it also situates the strap very nicely so that its flat against my hand in some way making it possible to pull me sleeves and cover it all up for some mad steeze.

Follow question: Do you wear the straps over jacket sleeve, under, or just let it float around like a ying-yang?

B or C depending on how the fuck i feel. no straps would scare me. i dont want to hike for a fuckin pole if i bail. i feel naked without straps.

C almost always, except tree skiing where there's a chance I could plant in front of a tree and want to be able to let go of the pole right away and not break it/my arm. then I go no straps.

hand through the strap, then my hand on the top of the pole cause they're so short, I only hold them normally when I'm doing tricks.

A.  never use my straps, thinking about just cutting them because it looks retarded to just have them dangling but im not so sure if thats a good idea.

Imagine a generic ski pole handle with strap.
Now imagine a human hand
Now imagine the human hand going up through the strap of the ski pole handle and grabbing the grip
While imagining this you should also have your hand on top of the strap while holding the grip

Exactly. When i used to do moguls the coaches would click you out at the top of the course right before you dropped if you didn't have your straps right... Learned that one pretty quick haha. C for life.

A. Rarely drop them skiing park, but when I bail, hiking for an extra 2 pieces does suck. The worst however, is definitely when I'm skating/pushing to a rail or something and I just let go... and have to abort and hike back 10 feet and repeat. Looks so dumb. Never found wearing them comfortable, but I'm using children's poles and it seems like they have a small strap.

C only when freeriding cause it sucks when you poleplant into crud and your pole suddenly gets stuck in the snow and you have to hike back up to get it ...

B, i always teach my pupils to hold their poles like C, but last year i had a girl that for some reason kept holding em like B, no matter how often i told her... Later that week she crashed hard on ice and got 2 dislocated thumbs ....
