What editing software?

So all my "crew" has left me behind for college this year. As a result i'm thinking of getting a GoPro so i can basically just film myself and then have an extra camera when they come back. Now I've never had to edit and edit before but I have had experience with final cut pro in videography class in school which included simple short movies, music videos ect. ect. Finally I will be using a Mac book to do the editing.

Now what editing software would you guys recommend?

FCP, Premiere, Vegas, I use AVS video editor and its really simple. sim

FCP 7. Unless you want just basic bullshit, then iMovie works fine. Which I believe comes preinstalled on all Macs, it did for mine anyway. But if you are going to go with FCP, make sure it's FCP 7, and I really stress this. Don't go and download FCP X from the Mac App Store, it's just an iMovie on steroids and it's not worth the money.

go with FPC 7 and try to pick up after effects too, that shit is magical!

I don't think anyone on here has except for maybe some pro's that actually *have* to have legal software (not that we don't, but still).

Everybody torrents that shit.
Get FCP 7 and After Effects CS5.

From where can you give me a good torrent? I don't wanna just go downloading huge things onto my computer and have it be broken or not fully loaded or whatever.
