but those books, i used to rent them from the library and sneak read them during class like hide them in my desk and read while the teacher was talking.
i would find the scariest story and read them out loud to the other kids during recess, i remember some girl cried from them so we kicked her out of our scary book club.

This scared the shit out of 3rd grade me. The worst was the one about the girl who dropped a knife on her dress when she was in a graveyard or something and thought she was being eaten by zombies or whatever. Some of those stories kept me up at night. Ah, the memories.

in like 5th grade me and my friend were sleeping in his basement and we read these then we heard a crash from another part of the basement. we both jumped like five feet into the air. then it happened again. my friend actually pissed himself. i, for some reason tried to punch a concrete wall repeatidly trying to get out. i ended up punching my knuckles bloody. in the morning, his parents thought i beat him up...
