Hey can some of you smart people out there help me out on a geometry test? I have four problems and I need to get a A+ on this test or take it again.

Write the standard equation of the circle with the given center and radius.

26. center (4,0), radius 4

27. center (-1,-3), radius 6

Use the given information to write the standard equation of the circle.

28. The center is (0,0), a point on the circle is (0,3)

29. The center is (3,2), a point on the circle is (5,2)

I really need it guys!

look in your textbook dude. by the time people answer this (if you even get a real answer) you could of easily looked in your textbook and gotten the answers

28. x^2 + y^2 = 9
29.  (x-3)^2 + (y-2)^2 = 4

  • On the coordinate plane, the formula becomes (X-H)2 + (Y-K)2=r2
    • h and k are the x and y coordinates of the center of the circle
    • (x-9)2 + (y-6)2=100   is a circle centered at (9,6) with a radius of 10

you can only do that if you know the radius and the center point of the circle is 0,0. If the center isnt then you have to use a more complex theorem. And tiptop I did the work and I was checking my answers to ensure I got an A+

Look up the equation online and plug in your values. It's just algebra from there. If you can't do the algebra then you really need help. It only builds from geometry. Finding fourth and fifth derivatives isn't based on some foreign alien language. It's all math

Ever look into topology or any other advanced fields of differential geometry like finsler or pseudo-riemannian? That is when math becomes fun! It's like an adventure because you are solving problems that haven't been solved and proving theorems that are younger than I am.
