Does anyone else's guitar make them smell like garlic?
I don't know how this happens, but playing both my friend or I's guitar makes our fingers smell like garlic... I don't know if I was cutting garlic and then played and the smell is infused into the strings or what, but it's always that scent and it last foreverrrr on my fingers... and apparently the guitar as well.
Anyone else experience this conundrum or have theories as to where this stems from?
They're probably old strings that need to be changed and your sense of what metallic strings smell like may seem similar to garlic to you. buy new strings and wash your hands.
definitely change the strings, and if it persists then i have no clue whats going on lol. if you are playing acoustic, get elixirs (best strings ever IMO) or ernie balls beefy slinkys for electric (my favorites)
