honestly, almost anyone from N. america hasn't really had chinese food (or thai food for that matter). it's been white'd to an insane degree. chinese food in china is quite different. buuutttt they still have ramen!
Not true - you just need to work a little harder to find places that actually serve their food in its traditional manner.
Dim sum, xiao long bao, pho, spicy garlic crab, etc.....are all dishes that you can find in most large North American cities, and their style here really doesn't differ that much.
