Hey everyone, im in 3rd year high school, and just recently we have had to start thinking about universities ALOT. but what i really want to do with my life is film/photograph stuff, skiing/action sports in general being my true calling, i've always had a passion for stuff like this and i've made some decent stuff before but never anything thats got any real attention. also im on the east coast so my first order of business is to get out west, where the real money for this is.

1. do i need any sort of photography degree for production companies to take me serious or do i just need a good portfolio
2. how hard is it? are there any people out there who do this kind of stuff for a living?
Im a very skilled skier as far as just skiing and a decent freskiier, i also dont really care about money, i want to leave my life here in toronto and head strait for the west coast to try to become the next great ski/snowboard film producer/director/filmer
