Right on. They still make race skis but they are harder to come by in the US. You see a large portion of Canadian and French skiers on them. They have a very similar design to atomic which has had the most overall points in the world cup for as long as i can remember.
Aha no problem on first post. My bad. I've been scouring the web for a race ski site from them... I fail. I was checking out this years stuff and was surprised when I went to check their race skis section and it listed nothing, so I assumed they discontinued them. I highly doubt salomon would drop their freestyle line, absolutley ridiculous. Freestyle skiing has to be one of the largest growing segments of our sports. I was at a local shop the other day and talking to the shop owners. They're older and they don't even jump, spin, whatever, they just ski to ski, and thy've switched to twin tips and they love it.
If salomon does drop there freestyle line....... then thats messed......
What was the deal with the suspects. Was it that edge armour cord that caused all of the delams or what? I got some of last years 2012's to ride this year, haven't heard bad things about them, hopefully there good.
i can tell you first hand that the 2012 suspects are worlds apart from the 2011 suspects. they have been made in a different factory. the last pair i had(2011) had a major chunk(4 inches?) of edge missing after about a season. however the pair I'm on now (2012 model) have been thrashed and bashed all season and have no edge cracks. no delam. and only minimal top sheet chips around the edges of the top sheet
