ive read so many different things on the internet and i would just like to know, what are the negative and positive effects of marijuana. im 15 years old and wondering the effects it will have on me.

Before you smoke weed, there are a few things you need to do.

1) Receive a blowjob
2) Get laid
3) Run a 5k without stopping
4) Make the high honor roll of your high school
5) Get a job


Then consider smoking.

exactly. I smoked like 3 months straight everyday in the summer. And then just stopped once school started back up. Sure i got urges, But you have to be able to say to yourself. Im done this is enough.

this guy is also an idiot. delta 9 tetrahydrocannibinol (i think the spellings off on that one) is not addictive or harmful. It does not cause cancer because it is not radioactive (like nicotine). The only, and I really mean only, drawback to it's use temporary paralyzation of cilia in the esophagus. This produces the smokers cough because the cilia are no longer pushing the mucus up so you have to cough to get it up instead. This really means nothing in terms of your long term health as the cilia usually repair themselves fairly quickly. There is also a misconception that THC kills brain cells. THC does nothing to kill brain cells. A recent study found that it would take 20 years of daily use to see any sort of damage to the brain and even that would not be as significant as getting drunk a few times. Weed is one of the safer mind altering substances you can do. It is nearly impossible to overdose on ( you would need to smoke upwards of 60 joints in under a minute to od) and some Japanesse studies have linked it to brain cell growth. The only study that ever found weed to be dangerous to ones health was a study performed by the Nixon Adim. The reason that this study found that weed rapidly kills brain cells is the way that they conducted the test. They strapped a gas mask to a chimp for 3 minutes straight so it inhaled only smoke. This gave the monkeys the THC levels of 60 columbian joints. However, this 3 minutes was also a period in which the chimps recieved no oxygen and were essentially dieing due to suffication. This period of sufficating resulted in the brain cell damage they saw, not the thc. So no, weed is not bad.

the correct term for that is habitual. It becomes a habit. Weed is in no way shape or form addictive. You will experience no withdrawls or other physical symptoms.

complete fallacy. alcohol does not kill brain cells. or at least in the volume that you can consume without dieing. If alcohol didnt fuck you up as bad as in Drunk Driving Vomit drowning etc it would be relativley safe except for the alcohol poisoning aspect and it kind of fucks your liver.

I like it. Its very harmful to your body so why not? its a better way of subtracting sobriety than alchohol. But watch out for who knows you smoke it can sometimes come with a bad rep.

Here's my two sense though. ANYTHING you smoke is bad for you to some degree, you're putting hot smoke into your lungs... don't be surprised if you're throat swells up after you do it and you feel short on breath
