very interesting read - this guys is deff a shroom head. culture might be your friend or it might not be. all depends on who you are really. i agree that western culture has made us very sensitive to psychedelic drugs. there are so many things that we overlook in day to day activities that should be given more attention. we get desensitized by culture so much that we don’t even know ourselves, we forget what really matters. The dominant thought on most western minds is how to make the next buck, or whats the next purchase.
Psychedelic drugs in general need to be treated with
respect. It’s not as if taking them will make you a better person. Simply put –
they help open up “doors of perception” allowing the individual to re-think
issues that were previously closed to them before. They don’t add anything to
your way of thinking but instead help you approach knowledge and thought in a
new light. That’s probably why most western minds don’t enjoy them, because
they make you question the safe little bubble people create for themselves.
