Big Dude, Ski Suggestions

I'm a big guy, about 6'4' and 220lbs. What would you guys suggest for a good all mountain ski. I would like a twintip to take in the park everyonce in a while and for landing fakie on jumps.
I am new to the whole free skiing thing but would like to get into it but have been skiing for over 15 years. My old skis are some 10 year old crapy strait fischers and they suck.
I have done searchs and read many 'what skis should I buy' threads but none for the big dude and don't know if it matters or not.
Thanks for any input!

head mad trix (both normal or mojo), k2 seth pistols, k2 public enemy, 4frnt MSP, Line Chronics or Pollards...maybe.

yeah, DEFINATLY consider the 187 4frnt MSP. its stiff, burly as hell, has a two year warrenty, and kills the whole mountain. other suggestions are the head mad trix/mad trix mojo. these are also stiff skis that rip the whole mountain.
Atomic skis are decent, but your best bet will probably be the 4frnt.

I was looking at some of last years Line Darksides 185's. Mostly because they are cheap but I don't know how good they are. It seems from most peoples comments on here that they aren't that great. Any input?

I also found a pair of Head Mad Trix 02/03 model on ebay new for $200. They are only 181's though and I would think that is too short.

no, those arent much of a park ski. and while that might not be your primarly focus, there really isnt any reason not to get an all mountain twin tip. they ski so much better compaired to early twins. and seth pistols would work for yah two. my buddy is like 270, and he rides the 189s. but those are pretty soft. and i would shop for the ski first, and then worry about prices. there are plenty of ways to get around that whole MSRP thing.

that was meant for the darksides...the 181 mad trix could work actually...they're very stong skis.

182 larose pros would be good im about your size but my main use for them is park so the softness dont bother me to much so might be to soft for all mtn but as mentiond before the 189 seth pistol would work great dent in park rips in pow and crud and u can still turn it on the groomers

187 MSP or 189 Pistols for sure.

Yeah, the Heads are the perfect suggestion. I too endorse them.

yeah, i forgot about those.
4frnt 187 MSP
Line 186 Pollard Pro
Head Mad trix or mojo
K2 Seth pistol 189
any of these would work great.
the line and 4frnt skis are pretty similar, not a ton of sidecut, and nice and stiff, which is important for a bigger guy like yourself. they wont turn like a slalom ski, but they will favor high speeds, and long carves. the heads are reallt high preformance, and many have compared the preformance to that of race skis. the mojos are identical, except wider. the seth pistols have quite a bit of sidecut and are pretty wide. they work everywhere great, but they are softer. this would work best for quick carves and park riding, and of course pow riding. all of these should be good, shop around and see what you find pricewise.

i'm 6'4' and 205lbs, i have been riding the Volkl V-pros in a 190. they are pretty sick skis, nice and stiff, and lengthy enough. but i might be upgrading to some seth pistols cause i go to alaska every winter...
