Replying to Revelstoke...Etc.
So im finally taking my pops on a ski trip, and i want a good place for both me and him. I have Revy on my bucket list but am not sure if it would be suitable for the old man.
Me: Favorite mountian ever skied is Alpine meadows because of the terrain and the hikeable options(10 min hikes to the fun stuff). I LOVE steep and deep, trees, cliffs, pillows, etc all the fun stuff and am willing to hike less than 20 mins to get to it...45 if its REALLY GOOD. Park is not a factor whatsoever.
Pops: OG skier, who doesnt like tree skiing, only openish glades, bowls, groomers, etc. loves pow, but doesnt want to work for it. his favorite place is Targhee(the vibe, lodging, snow, crowds, terrain is perfect). He hates rain and loves the bitter, bitter cold.
So we can go pretty much go anywhere in N. America(Not AK) that is lift served. I would love revy, but from what i gather its a lot of fun trees and natty features, and hiking. I would really like to hit up somewhere in the interior BC, because i have never been and hear the snow is super duper. thinking about sunshine etc.
So offer me up some suggestions and reviews, and remember it has to be cold(he is like a woman and will not stop bitching if it rains, or is wet).
