skiing straight down the hill doesn't make a lot of sense, unless you're going straight for a jump.
1. drop left foot back
2. move right foot forward. match left toe to right heel.
3. rotate hips to the left
4. look left. suddenly its a lot easier to see where you're going.
5. try to keep your skis close together. this helps.
you'll notice that this doesn't work if you're skiing across the slope in the other direction. ie. always look around the outside shoulder of your turns. the more you drop your outside foot back and rotate your hips the harder you'll turn the skis. get used to doing it because it feels sick.
