This article is about snowboarding, but it translates into skiing as well. Basically, skiiers/boarders are pissed that X games and dew tour dont matter for olympic qualification, only FIS events. As a result, riders will miss dew tour events to compete in FIS events, in hopes of olympic qualification. It forces riders to choose between competing in a great event NOW or competing in a shitty event NOW to compete into a pinnacle event down the road.
