Are my bindings fitted to my boots properly?

I'm not sure that my bindings are fitted properly, i'm not sure but to me it seems like they're too far together, here's pictures.
As you can see in the following photos this is when i'm not applying pressure, it doesn't sit where i BELIEVE it's supposed to. If I'm wrong please correct me however.

As you can see in this photo however though, I can get it to sit there if i press down with a fair amount of pressure.

You need to check the forward pressure indicator. If you don't know what this is, you need to take it to a qualified tech. What type of bindings are they?

Just FYI though, it's normal on some bindings for the boot to sit a little further over the heelpiece than you might expect when they're adjusted correctly.

too close together.

They are probably fine, but to be on the safe side take them to a shop.

Whenever you put your boot in it supposed to push back the heel a little bit.

ok well i still havnt hAd a chance to go to the shop and i noticed when i put the boot in the binding the heel of the binding slides back about 5mm on the rail, is this bad? thanks

It's fine, if your heel slipped in with no tension then the binding wouldn't be doing its job,

Forward pressure seems off, check the indicator although I cant remember where it is and I don't have my skis with me.

Generally there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the back of the boot and the heel peice when you set it in the toe peice and not clicked in but thats just generally a rough idea, but from the first picture it looks like the heel piece is far too close.

Take them to another tech and get them sorted.

click your boot in and take a photo of the very back of your binding from the side. OR just look at the bottom screw that lays along your track (white part drilled into the ski). That screw moves the heel piece of the marker royal series back and forth in its track. When you are clicked in, that screw head should be FLUSH with the housing its in. If that makes sense. If they screw sticks out = too loose, if its further in = too tight.

thanks a lot! the screw of one of the bindings comes out by 0.3 +/- .1 mm, is that going to be a problem? thanks

just screw it in until its flush. leave your boot in while you do it.
