2nd part is the correct one. K2 Sports is the super mega company (really not that big in comparison actually) that owns K2 Skis, Ride Snowboards, Line Skis, Tubbs Snowshoes, ect as equals. It's very confusing we know. Line still fully run by the guy who started it in his garage in 1995.

How do you balance creating products that appeal to the core skier with the bottom line? How much of your resources do you spend on developing and improving skis that appeal to the core audience vs. price point skis that sell in high volumes and bring in higher profits?

Yes - 1 & 2 will be a mix of summer / NZ, Aussieland and late spring secret stuff already filmed as the fall months are difficult yet yield the most creativity.

it's a big time and money (serious) investment and we've (tc guys and line) have come to the agreement 5 is where it's at to produce it to it's highest quality. each one takes about 2 weeks to film then another to edit. 15 weeks of the winter taken up by just TC is tough for sure but stoked we can pull it off.

awesome, i was trying to find it this morning and could only see the radius for 186s. i wish it was a little bigger, a lot of companies seem to be going for the tighter radius this year.

Will Line ever promote some sort of 6-pack for broken Reactor bindings redemption promotion so I can recoup some of the 200 some bones I spent on these things that lasted about half a season????


P.S. Still love you guys and still skiing on old Chronic wides.

this is the reply straight from a veteran Customer Service guy here:

"At this point we can do nothing but recommend they purchase new bindings and throw them away (or bronze them and send to a ski museum).  Years ago, we made it available for Line Reps and Dealers to send back any Reactor binding for a credit. There was never any recall on these bindings and this return for credit was done as good gesture by Line.  We extended this return for the first year and bit longer but at this point we are no longer excepting any returns for Reactor bindings.  After all you should replace any binding after a few years and those are coming up on being 10 years old.  It’s time to get new binders!"

Ya got me, I was simply joking, although a six pack would be nice ha.

Thanks for the typical big corporate copy paste though, it was an educational read. Guess I should have actually taken em back as soon as they broke. I think I actually adjusted them all the way forward or back and continued to ski on em for a year or so before they totally gave out. No biggie though, you guys actually warrantied an old delamed pair of 1260s I had once so I got no bones against your company.

haha obviously I've replaced the binders already, the reactors have been sitting in my laundry room for easily 5 years now. Maybe I'll tear into em and try and replace the shoddy track by myself and breath some life back into em that way. I've never seen the faulty piece myself as it is inside the binding, but I'm sure a machine shop could fab up a piece of metal to possibly replace it with something more sturdy like metal or something. It just feels like some kind of toothed track in there that sheered a bunch of teeth off.

Sounds like a fun weekend project actually, guess I'll crack a few beers and see what happens.

Thanks for the response, I was sadly hoping for something a little more humorous though. Oh well the internet is serious business these days I guess.

When it comes to bindings and therefore the inherent legal implications of bindings that were removed from the market, it has to be serious. What you say, even on NS, can still be used in court...
