Figured since you're a donator to the greatest website in the world we should award you with some info leaks, insider news and answer questions you might have about anything Line related (within reason)

Have any of you tried skiing backwards on a pair of opus's? Compare it to a chopstick.
If you have trouble with the opus, my guess is the big problem is somewhere between the bindings and the sky. Seriously semetrical fat ski: unnecessary. A 192 Opus will sure be something special.
And not sad to see the back of the chopstick.

as much as i love the tc webisodes (and believe me i do) why dont you guys make a team movie? web releases are cool but they can never replace the feel of a full team movie.

i remembered that being a lot of recycled footage, maybe im wrong i'll rewatch. im talking more along the lines of a skate style team movie, team trips, more dedicated segments. basically like TC but longer I guess

I feel that would be hard to organize. Since their team is all with different film crews doing their own things, which requires enough work as it is.

It would be sweet though.

we want it as much as all our fans but the coordination, resources, ect are huge.  when we do..we'll do it right, and you'll know about it.   the Team Mixtape edits released every year are an aggregation of sourced footage from all the sweet film companies our MCs ride for and submit to us.

around what the anthem used to be but a few bucks more (material, shipping, everything has gone up over the years). different in every country so be sure to ask your local shop how much and when they're getting them in.

hard to say. some are super heavy with crazy tricks you've never seen, or really creative or jsut really funny. all of them! haha cheesy answer but we're blessed with a great group of passionate skiers who make up a really unique part of skiing and we're stoked to have TC.

After 7 days on 185 Motherships, it's sad to see that they're out of production. They're a raging ski, but I think one tweak would have made a huge difference; a flat tail.

With double metal construction, fat bases and edges, true to length measurement, and a -8.3 mount... everything about them screams directionality.

I'd love to see Line put out a similar ski in the future, with a flat tail that would make the big mountain community take it seriously.

thanks for the feedback. We dont make this ski for the same reasons we don't make cross country skis, it doesn't fit our brand. When we release new big mtn skis such as the re-designed Influence 115, 105, Opus and future boards we'll take all feedback into account and in the end make a line ski. Why would you make a ski with only 2 tips!? That's just crazy talk ha.

I was a bit shocked when I saw the tail rocker on the new 115. Rest of the geometry was pure sex, but the amount of tail rocker caught me off guard; especially considering the reduction in rocker in the opus from the EP Pros. I have not gotten to ski it yet, I would like to this next week.

They shred just that much harder! A flat tail is literally the only change I'd make to the Mothership (unless I could magically reduce the weight without taking away the beefy construction.)

Just a thought. I know that it's a matter of the past now. That said, I'll likely buy another pair in the next year before they're impossible to find.

It's allegedly softer too....

It's not really what I wanted to hear (both stiffness and rocker) when I heard the 115 was being redesigned.

The only thing holding me back from buying a Line ski again is their lack of big mountain sticks.

There are powder skis that people like everywhere (Opus).
But there are also people that like powder skis, and then like skis that just haul ass. I really wish I was able to try the Mothership out when it was in its run.


What I would have liked to see in the new 115:

-Length (You guys answered that with a 193)
-Stiff tail
-Pin tail



I haven't skied thee 115s yet, a 186 would feel a bit too short for me I think..
However, without any experience on the ski itself, I really have no say.

From what I understand, Prophet 130 is a massive floaty board, not much for shape either, it was again too short for me, and back when it first came out, it was too big for me.
I haven't skied it. I haven't skied a new Line ski since the first year that the Blend was re invented into a 100mm waist. Before those were the Prophet 90s.

I feel like my credibility should be out the window when I say I haven't skied anything. I'm just saying what I'm looking for in a ski.

It's weird to hear that Line pulled the Mothership from their roster since it "didn't represent their image".

Honestly, if I was running a ski company, I'd make it my best interest to appeal to every skier. Some people love representing a brand, but that brand only meets a certain amount of their needs.

Not every skier out there that jibs in the park wants a mellow , soft powder ski.

didnt knwo it was shocking. there's a bit of tail rocker but nothing crazy, it keeps the tail a bit looser. Get on that beast before too much judging, she's fun.

the Mo'Ship wasn't pulled for that reason, we felt like we can expand on it. Every ski every company has made was loved by someone at some time unfortunately some get the axe. Line makes skis for what we believe our consumer would gravitate towards (why you dont see Line cross country and randonee skis) and we're stoked to be able to start expanding that type of ski (more freeride, big mtn, hell even carving..it's fun!) as we grow.

I rarely trust gear reviews, but Blister has their shit on lock. Here's a good write-up on the new 115:

It definitely seems like it's targeted at your average skier more than before. This year's 115 allegedly ripped pretty hard, but now it looks like we'll be getting another wash-your-tails-around, ride backseat, check your speed type of ski... as if the JJ and S7 weren't already enough for the industry.

Interesting and excellent review...
From the sounds of it, it seems to be a fat ski that "older" skiers would buy, to avoid crazy rocker shapes.

That being said, I'd buy my dad a pair in 192 to replace his old Bacons.

I feel like he'd like them a lot. But still feel he'd like the current season more, (advanced skier, big guy. He knows what he's doing)

yes those guys are really really good at reviews. JJ & S7 should not be directly compared. They are fun skis but the i115 has much more turn arching, hard charging power.
