Why are your skis so short? My 184 Bacons are shorter than 183 Shiros and 184 Patrons.

more companies are going into alternative materials that make the skis lighter such as bamboo. i have a couple pairs of skis with bamboo cores and they are super responsive, light, and durable. Have you guys tried to work with bamboo and or plan to use them in the near future

It is not the bamboo in those cores that makes them light. It is the other wood. Liberty's cores for example are less then 30% bamboo.

Bamboo persay has a high strength to weight ratio, but is very often needs to be in thin strips, resulting in more epoxy; which is not light weight.

yeah i know liberty is party bamboo and mostly poplar. i know bamboo isnt actually wood since it is hollow only allowing a thin sheet to be made, but still the way that bamboo is different than that of an actual wood

bamboo isn't and alternative material, its a material we just choose not to use. it bends a bunch before snapping back to you making it pretty dead. some skis that's a good thing, but our 3 different core layups are working jsut fine for us. always trying new things, we've tried bamboo for sure and nothings out of the question.

Just had a thought pop into my head. What's the tail on the Influence 115 like? I know it's not really twin. But any taper development? New for 12/13? I'm thinking it could benefit from a taper that something like true 4FRNT EHP has. That can go for any of the Influence or Prophet series

But essentially it was because the OG one had the green background with all the animals, and the only way for that to make sense was for there to be a super continent (Pangaea. Now the first true idea of a supper continent came from a man by the name Sir Frances Bacon... That is why Mr. Eric Pollard chose to call it the Sir Frances Bacon. The name also worked well with his other ski the Elizabeth, because Mr. Bacon proposed the idea of a super continent to Queen Elizabeth the 2. ITSACONSPIRACY

Has some connection with the Elizabeth ski..Sir Francis was a lord under Queen Elizabeth..not sure the real story, ask EP on the Nimbus FB page, he answers most of the time, might take a while tho as he's in Japan now.

does line ever intend to make another full rocker ski? I know camber/rocker blends are considered to be the best of both words, but I'm currently skiing a full rocker ski in the park, and it's the most fun ski I've ever been on.

sales were cannibalized by the similar SFB 172 and with 2 skis of such similar design, they were unfortunately axed. Still have the molds tho so who knows!

50+ sticker requests a week x 56 weeks a years = lots of stickers. Lots of demand and we try to keep up. Sorry for giving you free stuff!

not sure how to answer out of any context. We use fatty base & edge as well as a full wood maple core & sidewalls. All those together in a 118 mm wide ski the materials add up.

not trying to sound like an ass here, I have ridden line all my life and arent trying to come off the wrong way here. But when you say "sorry for giving you free stuff" in a sarcastic manner, you make it sound like us reppin the stickers aren't doing you any good. Pretty sure it exposes you guys more then you think.

Some of you guys don't understand how fucking huge line is. Like holy fuckery, they have the ski thing on lock, BUT they are not a car plant. They are still operated like any other small company, and by that i mean. Everyone knows eachother, they have all had the same jobs for years, they probs have a sticker company, but i'm sure most of their profit goes right back into the company/riders. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes, the stickers are much appreciated and I love your company, but compared to the other dozens of ski companies i've sent sase's to, you guys have always sent the least amount. it's just a bit disappointing to get 1 sticker back when others send 5.

Can't remember if this has been asked, but will the 192 Opus be a little stiffer? Or is it staying consistant throughout the sizes?

If the colours are inverted on the bases it's because line reuses prints, so that the cut-out for one base becomes the base of another. That's why some a-bangs have blue/green bases while others have green/blue or white/green etc.

Or the SFB's could all just have different bases and I'm out of line.

Does line plan on making a truly symmetrical pow ski like the volkl chopsticks? i know both the Opus and SFB are really close but it's just not the same
