SPK chaos vs Full Tilt hotdoggers

Ok, so I have SPK khaos or chaos it doesn't really matter (the red and black ones) and lately I have been getting really serious shin bang to the point where it really hurts to walk. I know shin bang is caused from backseat landing, but my shin bang has stayed for a whole entire week, I can feel it when I run in PE class. Now I'm 16 and I do belive that my feet have stopped growing, and I know what ever ones answer is go to a boot fitter, and I am in the week or so but I want to know if anyone went from SPK's to Hotdoggers, and how did it feel? I just really hate shin bang and want to be able to ride again without pain.

I had the same problem as you i had spk and got boot fitted for them, all last year i had the worst case of shin bang to the point where i had to end my days early. I had enough so i thought id go to some dif boot fitters i went to 2 the same as last time and a new one. At the one i went to last time they just gave my the spk and full tilt classic to try in in a 28.5, my boot size is a 25.5. So right away i didnt trust them then i asked him what the difference is between the classic and hot dogger and he said that the hot dogger is stiff. This is also false they are the same flex but with different footboards and liners so i left the shop immediatly. Went to the other place and they said full tilts are best for my foot and i agree i have no more shin bang and my feet never hurt.

what im trying to get at is if you can get as many opinions as possible and test the fitter to see if he knows his stuff when you go, also dont buy full tilts just cause go in with a open mind you never know atomic may fit you best or some other company

jesus christ your both retarded, find a good shop and let the bootfitter put you into a boot that fits you, even if it doesnt have pretty rainbows all over it.
as for the question, those boots are so differnt is not even funny. skinny as fuck 3 peice with intuitions vs fat as fuck 2 buckle overlap.

Corski, you need to find new bootfitters man, i feel bad for calling you a retard but im guessing you went in and said you want a boot thats good for skiing park? and maybe suggested spks and full tilts? if your bootfitter was a lazy fucker who didnt want to argue with you (if you did indeed ask or those boots) then i wouldnt be surprised. find a legit shop with a good fitter, and say you want "a good fitting boot, i also like to ski park"

Both those boots feel retardedly different on your feet. It would be difficult to find a foot that would be comfortable in both. Just try them on. It's not hard. One will feel more comfortable than the other. Then you should probably chose the one that is more comfortable.

A.K.A. the bootfitter answer. But it's not rocket science. It is easier with someone who knows what they are doing. They will be able to tell you that a boot will be too wide or small for your foot. But you can also just try it on and then you will realize it feels too tight or loose.

I went in and described the type of skiing i do, i never suggested a different model. I even had to push the guy to get my other boots to try on like head and atomic just so i was sure. he told me afterwards that spks were the best which ended up not being. Wats funny is i met a guy at my local hill and the same shop fitted him wrong too and he was the one who suggested going to the shop i went to later on which fitted me in full tilts. now i have no problems

i had the SPKs for 2 years and last season when i started to hit bigger jumps the shin bang was so bad it made me not want to ski. pay extra for the full tilts IT IS WORTH IT.

I tired on my friend Hotdoggers in 29 and they fit like a dream, I know Full Tilts fit my foot cause I went to the shop before and they fitted me. I just need to convince my dad to help pay for it.

dont ever buy a boot online because its marketed as a park boots, thats fuckin retarded

jeez when will kids learn. i lol so hard at everyone hwo buys spks online, gets fucked up feet, turns out they have skinny full tilt feet and then procede to tell absolutly anyone who is asking about boots to buy full tilts. you kids realise not everyone ever has the exact same foot right? i need to spend less time on NS /endrant

i have the same problem except different i just got the hot doggers and i love them except when i tighten them how they should be my feet hurt and i have to loosen them and its really weird i had dalbello krypton last year reall bad shin bang and i had all summer then came back this weekend started skiing again and its back? i didnt last back seat either any help??

how can you love boots that don't fit you? if they hurt when they're tightened, they're more than likely too skinny of a boot for you. The solution is to do some research on quality shops in or near your state, then spend a day trying on boots. I mean a day. Like 4 to 8 hours. Try every boot the store has, then start narrowing down by removing the ones that obviously don't fit well. Once you have 2 or 3 or 4 boots you think feel right, leave the store. Wait a few days, return to the store, and try on those 3 or 4 boots again, and spend a decent amount of time in each pair, maybe one of each on different feet. By the end of this you should have fallen in love with a pair of boots that will fit well, perform well, and can be modified to fit your needs at a later time. Buy them. Shred hard.

If you didn't spend a double-digit amount of hours working on the fitting process, you don't deserve comfortable boots.

So, I went to my boot fitters and they tried to fix my SPK's it didn't work out well after I skied today I still had pain in my shins. I have very narrow feet, and really skinny chicken leg shins. So SPKs are built for wide feet people, and my foot seems to "swim" around in my boot when I'm riding. Are Full Tilt's sort of built for a narrow foot (99mm) and for people with skinny shins?
