Is Rit dye different than other fabric dyes? All I could find near me was some high end fabric dye, I figured what the hell same shit different name.

Well I dyed 2 pair in the sink (a set of Phenoms and a POC Lobes frame) and the dye didn't hold at all, not even in the foam and the strap. Either I flubbed up or the dye is shit. I used a pack for about 6 litres of water. Maybe way too low on the concentration?

rit dye is formulated for plastic i am sure. goggles are not made of fabric, so thats why it went wrong.

Fabric dye won't dye plastic, I tried dyeing my ft power straps in fabric dye and it didn't even touch it. Rit dye is the way forward

i used rit dye(make sure you have boiling water aswell). i dyed my splices but it took like half an hour in a boiling pot

1. die in a pot of boiling water onn low
2. rit dye is a fabric dye but will dye the plastic
3. if you did not use boiling water then that is whhy
4. the stuff you have is perfect. i dyed over 50 lax heads and a bout a dozen googles and all came out perfect
if you need help there is a vid on youtube of a gut dying a-frames but just follow my directions

Yep you were right... I picked up some Tintex dye (could not find Rit anywhere in my area) This time I used 4 packs in 6 cups of water and boiled it, plopped em in and it worked great.
