i'm sorry to make another thread like this but i really want to get the perfect powder board for me. i'm 6'3, 165 lbs and i like all kinds of pow skiing, especially mini golf style stuff and switch skiing. regardless of which one i get its gonna be a 192. any thoughts?
The rocker 2 is a great powder ski, but I would consider the 184 size as you dont weigh very much. The 192 would be quite stiff for you, and would be more suited to big mountain/alpine use. The 184 is alot more playfull and is the better choice for trees and genral powder jibbing. For reference Im 5'11, 170lbs and rode the 184 size last season.
Haven't skied either, but longer would be a lot better.
I wouldn't consider a 184. Your weight is fine, you're my size, and I'd find a 184 much too short, especially for a rockered powder ski. You'll be able to control a 192 or 194 like a piece of cake. Especially if you mount them close to center (+/-3cm).
I've heard of many taller skiers who found the 182 Benchetler much too short for skiing. I can only imagine the same to be said for a 184.
I'm similar to your weight and height and i just got me a pair of AK JJs and they rock. I had the chance to ski both the AK JJs and the atomic bentchetlers last season and both of them were super sick. Id say get the AKJJs or bents. the only reason i didn't get the bents is because they were sold out in my local store and i didn't want to wait so i just took the last pair of AKs, either way you will have an amazing pow ski
