after reading this i looked up the spec. of my own gear. they talk about a tricot liner, and on my pants they have a "reverse tricot lining" WTF is this? is it just marketing BS or does having a tricot liner which is reversed (is that what reverse infers?) good?

Decent article, but it seemed like they were paid to talk about gore tex. There ARE other technologies that work just as well.

I doubt they were paid by Gore Tex judging from their "manifesto" . Im trying to think I can't come up with much besides eVent and Gore anyways... dunno.
