Well.. I had typed out a whole comparison for you and my internet froze up....
I own 173 punx with the black and gold tops, black red and white bases.. 50 or more days on those. Think thats the same year as yours?
End of last season bought 181 ar7s, more than 100 days on them over the summer in NZ, another 20 days or so in CO.
Punx are much softer.. obvoiusly symmetrical. I center mounted my ar7s because I wanted to use them as my all mountain park ski. I ride the ar7s every day unless it snows more than a few inches, and I love them.. They're both nice skis, it really comes down to what you want. See what you can find a better deal on. Punx are pretty much a dedicated park ski to me, You could ride them every day no problem if you want. Dont expect them to float in pow though. The ar7 is a more versatile ski for me, I've used in up to around 6in of snow and they still skiied pretty well. My punx were fairly durable.. no real complaints. I've put alot more days on the ar7s, smashed rocks, rails, you name it.. they've held up really well. After 150 days or so I think I can find 2 or so minor edge cracks. Bases held up really well, all things considered.
dont think you could go wrong with either. Main difference is the ar7 is stiffer, just slightly wider. I've never skiied the T-halls but same dimensions as the ar7.. just softer as I understand, consider those too. So see what you can get a good deal on...
hope that helps
