are there any boots that are made for specifically for absorbing shock. Also are there any small time boot companies that are good quality. (like 9th but boots)

Boots are too much of an investment for small companies make. Just a single size run of shell and cuff molds can cost 500,000 euros, not including materials or R&D costs, or graphics or marketing etc.
