i really hate when ppl say this. hashtags are more then just a way of "trending" on twitter. they categorize posts to allow a community of people to post on the same topic. in this case hashtags allow ppl in the thread to add thier own #NSProblem.

You have totally misunderstood how to do these. The first world problems hashtag is funny because of the irony stemming from the futility of moaning about your iPhone/ Macbook/ Starbucks in the context of all the world's problems.
