Best canon for filming

Im looking to pick up a canon for filming this season but im not sure exactly what to get. price isnt a huge issue but the 5d is pretty much out of the question considering its 2000+ without a lens. I've been looking at the 7d, but i feel like a 60d would be a better choice because of its price. any recommendations?

I've got the Canon t3i and i LOVE it for filming. As far as which camera to get, esp for filming, I don't think there's much of a video difference between the two cameras since they both have the flip screen and can shoot 1080p at 30 and 24 fps, and 720p at 60fps. That's about as deep as my knowledge goes between the two, but my best advice would be to go to a local CAMERA store and ask the reps. I went to mine and they literally knew everything about every camera, they should be able to hook you up too but it definitely helps to save a little money to get the extra stuff youll need, sd cards, mic, lens hood, and filters

The nice thing about the 7d is, you can adjust soooooooooooo many settings while filming, like shutter speed and exposure, iso. Where as for the 600d you cant do this while filming; not sure about the 60d though.

But,.... 7d is heavy as hell, where as the 60d would be nice and light with a swirly screen

yeah you can't really go wrong with any of these (t3i, 7d, 600d, 60d) they all shoot really good video, just have to weigh the different specs and features - weight, flip screen, adj. settings while filming/while not filming, etc.

im not much of a filmer/photographer, but my friend is, he just bought the canon 60d. look at a video test online, amazing hp

If your looking at pure video use and saving money then 60D. But if you want to snap some really nice pics and you have extra cash sitting around why not get the 7D. Just depends how much you want to spend. Video capability wise the specs are the same between the two.
