Maybe the younger generation is just doomed. I guarantee I could ask 30 of my closest friends what 4chan, Reddit, memes or Transformice were, and not a single one would have a clue what I was talking about.

And this isnt only about memes and other bullshit. Think about all the content right here on NS that would no longer be available.

Do you enjoy watching edits? what % of them use all original content (i.e.music)? i would be thoroughly surprised if its anywhere close to even 1%. You may not watch many edits personally but to much of this community edits are a major part of our communication. This is something that effects you.

This statement is directed to everyone, I just quoted you cause i found your use of a Meme funny considering your dismissal of 4Chan.

Okay everybody, take a deep breath, relax, pull your heads out of your asses.

I, myself, am one of these 'Internet Nerds' Im describing. It is in no way a derogatory term. Im using the term 'Nerd' loosely as someone who has extensive knowledge of the hobby/activity/subject at hand. Car Nerds, Gear Nerds, Gun Nerds, etc...

While 4chan maybe be popular among our crowd, it isn't among the general populous. Hence why I used the example of my friends, none of which use the internet on a daily basis besides FB, email, etc...

Some kids posted that 39 mil was a lot of hits. I provided statistics to show it wasn't. JHendrix decided to go on some hate spree after that. Everyone got up in arms, and now here we are.

Yeah 4chan (well /b/ specifically the rest isn't that bad) is kind of like a huge pile of shit with a gold nuggets scattered throughout the pile. Sure you'll stumble upon a piece of gold every once in awhile, but you'll get dirty in the process and wonder if it was worth it.

i just know that there are TONS OF POSSIBILITIES TO HAVE LEGAL MUSIC IN YOUR EDITS.

i did it for my longest edit. yeah, i had to look around on myspace and ask a few friends if they could make me something.


to me, using non-original music, especially all the rap a few years ago, dubstep now and electronics in between was so unoriginal it wasnt even funny.


i would appreciate it if all of these non-creative fuckers had to fuck off.

people think ZERO seconds if music actually finds anything and just go with the current flow.

 I can guarantee that the censorship would not used just for taking down copyright infringement. The sam logic that applies to children as it does to the government. If you give a mouse a cookie he is going to want a glass of milk. (give them censorship and next thing you know you cant view fringe political party literature. Then all hell breaks loose and i go around choking out bureaucrats and setting fire to government institutions.
